The Left and Right Mouse Buttons

We will be using the mouse as our main input device for making selections, drawing lines, moving selections and just about everything else that involves our interaction with Photoshop Elements.  This quick mouse tutorial will review the basics and the terminology needed to follow along and help you understand what I am talking about when I use terms like click, double click, right click, and drag.
CLICK:
The term "CLICK" means a quick press and release of the left mouse button. You have most likely used this action many times while surfing the web or using other computer programs.

DOUBLE CLICK:
The term "DOUBLE CLICK" is the same as "CLICK" except you quickly repeat the action.

EXAMPLES:
"Click File on the menu bar."
"Click on the Brush on Mask Tool."
"Double Click on the Title Bar"

Left Click. All images copyright 2007 James Gordley all rights reserved
Quickly press and release the left mouse button.

RIGHT CLICK:
The term "RIGHT CLICK" means a quick press and release of the right mouse button. Generally used to bring up context/option menus. For users of windows the right click is a first stop when you want to perform some action that involves copying and pasting items.

EXAMPLES:
"Right Click on the image."
